Not all it cracked up to be.

A coastal Australian town, chosen twenty years ago to be host to the first and the newest model Nuclear power plant in Australia.

The accepting community of Eden (NSW) has been living of nuclear power for the last twenty years. After the first rocky 12 months the community started to like the station and its effectiveness at reducing their power bills.

Most of them even forgot why those first 12 were bad.

Back in December 2012, right after the station became operation the planet killer came. The Planet killer was a huge asteroid that was ment to destroy all life on earth. But as usual the threat was non-existent, basically, as the asteroid, its course moving to near to the sun was only the size of a car by the time it hit the surface of earth.

For the residence of Eden it was still a tragedy as the meteor hit the power station, going right through the shield and sending radioactive waste deep into the earth.

For the rest of the year the surrounding area was swamped in scientists and government staff, cleaning up the waste and for the scientists doing a lot of mumbling and pointing.


Now there is nearly no-one who remembers the event and even less who care.

We will start on a normal school day, tech will be more advanced so things like Iphones will be the norm and computers will have many new features such as holographic, touch display.
Cars will not hover but they will be run on a magnetic balls of metal instead of wheels and can go at much faster speeds easier.

Gender: Male
Appearance: 6'1" with gray eyes and short red hair, almost always seen in jeans, running shoes, and a gray hoodie with the hood up.
History: Mav moved from the US a month before the asteroid hit, His parents have since gone into a paranoid hiding due to mass psychological histeria and the constant report of seeing a puppy being smashed by a stone car.
Power: Ability to "conduct" sound by manipulating it with a combination of brainwaves and body movement.
Development: currently unknown to majority of power, caused volume changes by conducting while listening to classical music.
School: Boarding school
Personality: Loves to run and loves music. not very attached to earth, spaces out a lot. Personality changes with music a lot. When silence is in the air, He usually is indiffrent about everything, but loyal and friendly once you get to know him.
Bio: Mav has grown up with the reassurance that he would move every year. Never getting any permanent friends, Mav has always found joy and friendship in running while listening to music, or just playing music. Mav has learned to play the Piano, Viola, Trumpet, and Drums on a advanced level due to practicing quite a bit.
Other/extra: Power can expand to where he can channel his "conductings" through soundwaves he has already conducted.

Appearance: Alix has brown hair that goes down to her second rib. She has tanned skin and hazel eyes. She is about 5'10, about fourty-five kilos and is slightly curvy. She is not strikingly gorgeous like a lot of the 'poshies' in her school, but she isn't ugly either, more like average. SHe has long dark eyelashes and full lips. Angular facial features are striking but she hides her face often with a wide brimmed Akubra, to stop people from noticing her. She has a strange birthmark on her side that is like a swirled pattern. Her parents always marvelled over the intricate birthmark.
History: Alix has lived in the town from birth, though they have moved away and back again a few times.
Power: She has a strange ability to connect with animals. her parents just believe that she is good with animals but she has a feeling that it is more than that.
Development: She always was a animal child and seemed to have a connection with animals. The connection increased as she grew older until she realised that when she touched an animal she began to feel like they would. She at first thought it was her imagination
School: Public school
Bio: Alix was born in July. She had few friends in school, preferring to be by herself. She discovered her 'connection' with animals when one of the school pets started hanging around her more often and soon she was beginning to connect with other animals. She moved away from her birthplace at the age of twelve to go to the city. her family came back a year later when her father got offered a job in the town.Other/extra: Alix has three siblings, an older brother, a younger sister and a twin brother. She likes the colour green.

Appearance: A small, stocky boy with mad, light brown hair. Signs of his physique are hidden underneath layers of clothing that doesn't fit. A thick blue jumper over a white T-shirt fits over his jeans and trainers like a dress. A mud red poncho falls over that. He has a small eyes that lend nothing to his round, un-intimidating face. His nose is pointed but short.
History: Lived in ** all his life.
Power: Appears to have the ability to absorb energy from surroundings and use it to fuel his own body without harm to himself.
Development: Marvin survived an electric shock without harm when plugging in a faulty hair-dryer. Seemed like he was much more awake afterwards...
School: Public
Personality: Very often, a follower rather than leader of other children and their groups but seems to have no real enemies with any group of children. He joins in with other groups as best as he can. He's a charmer, using his cute demeanour to bring in friends. Is cheery and polite. Insists on getting to know people.
Bio: Marvin has always been universally popular within his class. He's been in it for years and knows everyone in it. He know's what they're like, what they like and most of their birthdays. He has no enemies to speak off and a lot of friends. It's odd that no-one knows much about him though. Only that he's got a Dad.
Other/extra: I'm thinking about adding Fox features later as part of a further mutation of some kind. Maybe it could be done by an NPC? Anyway, it'll be something interesting (maybe) for Puck's character to do.

Tyro, can you just tone the development down a little bit. Say maybe that he accidently zapped himself on a powerpoint and felt rejuvenated after it or something?

Gender: Male
Appearance: An indigenous Australian of about 5'10", he is stocky and a large build. His family were of the moon people, this means his skin is truly black to the point where it shines and has that strange purple tint to it. His eyes are dark grey and often unnerve people. His hair is cut short and is as dark as his skin. He has a lot of muscle and although not tall he is still an imposing figure.
History: He was born in the Northern Territory, once he was adopted his 'parents' moved to Eden and he has lived there ever since. This was when he was only a year old.
Power: He will gain the ability to control momentum, the power is more powerful the closer it is to him.
Development: He is really good in sports and people who compete against him feel weighted down when moving.
School: Public school
Bio: Even with fellow aboriginals he was out of place at the school. He has slowly gained peoples trust and respect throughout the years. Many people dislike the fact he is so fast when he is a big build and that he seems to be naturally a muscled person. He is smart in terms of logic, while not being the top of any of his classes (Other then the practical part of PE.) he is never the bottom. He normally sits quietly and listens without bothering to do any better then is needed.
Other/extra: The day of the change is his birthday. He also has a thing for Alix Gail, although he not sure what to do about it.

Age: 15
Gender: Male
Appearance: Jace is a tall boy, toned and athletic. He has tanned skin, brown hair and hazel eyes, much like his twin sister Alix. His brown hair is straggly, framing his face to just beneath the ear lobes. It is sun streaked. He is a handsome boy at fifteen and many of the girls like him. He has a scar on his wrist that resembles Alix's birthmark, though his is a scar.
History: Jace was born in Eden and grew up there with his family, though they travelled alot.
Power: Appears to be able to influence inanimate objects with hand movements.
Development: he can reach for an object and it will seem to move slightly in his direction or something. if it is an airbourne object it may curve slightly towards him or alter its course in some way
School: Public school
Bio: Jace was born in July. He is mr popular at school, being a great sport player and attractive. Jace first noticed his ability during a game of football when he reached out to catch the ball and it seemed to curve to go toward him. His older siblings said that he was imagining things but later experiments convinced Alix and Jace that he was indeed 'different' much like her. The family moved away from his birthplace at the age of twelve to go to the city. His family came back a year later when their father got offered a job in the town
Other/extra: He is Alix's twin brother. He and Alix are the only ones that know about their abilities. He has a feeling that Madric has a little 'thing' for his sister, ever since he first started noticing his friend watching her alot.

Hmm, sorry that I hadn't realized before. But can I ask you to tone down both of the development stages at the moment, once the Change happens powers will start to flourish within hours and then start steady development each day.

Alix: Can you have her maybe, feel the same as the animal but not really noticed that anything is wrong or different.

Jace: Would you be able to take this back a step or two. Lets say maybe "Jace has began noticing things strange himself, but unlike his sister, his is to do with objects, if he reaches for something he could swear it will curve or even start rolling slightly towards him, as far as he can tell it is just his imagination though."

Sorry to be a nuisance it is just that once the Change happens people will go from the slightest of powers to knowing they have them within a couple of hours. So anyone who already knows anything about their powers or has a power which is already pretty developed will have it grow quite a bit and will be a bit OP over everyone else. They actually do this in the book and it makes one (Three actually, just one is basically starving, and the other is autistic.) person really strong. Since this is an rp I would prefer not to have one or two 'Star Child'.

Gender: Female
Appearance: Tally is on the short side standing at 5'1. She has a thin body, though has a good amount of muscle from years spent dancing. She has a creamy olive skin tone, and very dark brown eyes. Her hair is naturally wavy and red, and falls just below her shoulder blades.
History: Tally moved to Eden at the age of ten from England with her father, while her mother stayed behind. She traveled between the two places for nearly a year before her mother was able to move to Eden with her younger brother as well.
School: Boarding School
Power: Tally is able to manipulate her weight around her body. This allows parts of her body to be lighter than air as long as another part is bearing the weight taken from those parts of her body. It makes her extremely limber and agile, and allows her to jump greater heights than normal, as well as balance in extraordinary ways.
Development: Since Tally has been dancing for most of her life, she has been very flexible her entire life. However, lately, she has noticed that she is able to stretch a little more, jump a little higher, and balance easier. She simply thinks its because she is rapidly improving in her skill.
Personality: n/a
Bio: Tally has been dancing since she was seven, and considers herself to be quite good at it. It's something that she enjoys greatly, and can often be found practicing new routines. She is one hundred percent a daddy's girl, since she moved to Eden with him so much earlier than the rest of her family. She does have a younger brother who is eight, and is always trying to tag along with her wherever she goes, which Tally tends to find annoying. She also likes to be the center of attention, and likes to win. Tally hates for anyone to outshine her, and so all her life she has worked hard at being what she considers the 'best,' be it school, dance, etc.
