Rakk had been waiting on the side of the building for hours. He had been told he would find a suitable target to test his skills within this abandoned village months ago, but only now was he finally running out of patience. Pulling out one of his revolvers, Rakk started playing with the cylinder while continuing to scour the landscape.

He was hired to take out a escaped lab rat in charge of a massive breakout some years back. Thinking back on it, he really wouldn't have taken the job until he was convinced that he was hunting a challenging enemy of justice. He had heard all the companies puffed up stories about how he had set fire to everything on the way out, and how he had stolen two expensive weapons from their armory.

Rakk was certain enough that the company should be brought to justice afterwards, but was just fine with getting payed for tying up loose ends before ending them himself. Lounging back against the wall upon his shelf-like vantage point, Rakk wondered how hard it was to spot a person with a Buster Blade, as he had never seen one himself.

Zeke slipped out of the house he had been taking refuge in quietly, being careful to conceal the fact that he had been there, as he liked this house and didn't want to have to move again. Supply trips were always dangerous, and it seemed even more so recently. He swept his hair back from his eyes as he set out. He had heard rumors of Mercenaries and bounty hunters being hired to hunt down escapees, and he knew he'd have the highest bounty. Yet he felt confident he was well hidden in the abandoned village he had found.

He wasn't far from his chosen hideout when he noticed things were too quiet, very few animals could be heard with the exception of birds in the distance. He carefully slipped through the shadows of the old run-down buildings, trying to be as quiet as possible. He played with the wind a bit, trying to catch an abnormal scent, he couldn't tell anything and carefully pressed on. As he walked through the shadows he couldn't help but run his fingers over the handle of a throwing knife.

He was on edge, and the eerie quiet wasn't helping. He stepped into a mostly intact building, allowing himself a moment to try and calm down. He tied his katana to his back beside the buster sword to make it easier to move more quietly. He quickly looked through a window and when he saw nothing, he stood and started to head out the door.

Rakk continued to survey the area, finding nothing interesting. He was getting tired of staying here searching, and really wanted something interesting to happen.

Jumping down from his perch, Rakk checked all his gear was in order before standing at his full height. Making sure to keep his other revolver close at hand, Rakk began walking down the streets, spinning the other revolver on his gloved finger as he checked inbetween buildings and windows for any sign of his target. He was just about to turn a corner and head off when he saw a flash from sunlight reflect off a blade.

Quickly turning back to the street, Rakk looked on and found nothing of interest. Frowning, as he could have sworn something had flashed in the light, Rakk almost turned off to leave when he noticed the man leave a man in the shadows near a building. Smiling as he checked his revolver, Rakk fired one of his few normal rounds into the building next to the man as a warning.

Knowing that the man would be alerted to his presence, Rakk would walk toward him with his right arm extended, gun pointed directly at his target. Smiling, but keeping himself composed, Rakk hoped he could get him to come back quietly as he said "Well there shorty, look's like I've found you. I don't want to hurt you, so if your willing to give yourself up, do so now." He knew his height always managed to be slightly intimidating, and hoped to use that to his advantage so he wouldn't end up fighting the man before him.

Zeke started to walk when he heard the gunshot, he immediately turned towards the source. Seeing the very tall man standing with a gun pointed at him, he reflexively reached for his side and remembered he moved his katana to his back. He knew he couldn't reach it faster than a bullet could reach him. He stood still staring at the man, trying to see his intentions. As he heard the man insult his height and asked him to come quietly, he knew immediately who had hired him.

Zeke started to walk slowly towards the man, his hands raised in the air. "I don't want any trouble" he said to the man, as he stopped walking. "So lower the gun, and maybe we can talk about this." He highly doubted he would listen, but he knew his value was much more alive than dead. But that wouldn't necessarily stop the man from shooting him.

He stood there, slightly shifting the wind to blow sideways of the two, not enough to greatly change anything, but enough to cause their clothes to blow with it, He stared at the man intently, waiting for him to make a move. Wishing he could slip away, as the man looked like no pushover. And a fight would be bound to cause attention, and guaranteed destruction.

Rakk laughed at thought that he would be able to talk a target into submission. Smiling as he lifted his gun up, Rakk pushed the cylinder out and allowed the five empty shells to fall as well as the only live round he had left. With a wild look in his eyes, he smiled a knowing smile at the man before him.

"I came to this city with only twelve rounds, but I happened among too many lawless fools looking for your head. You don't have to worry about anyone interfering, but let's make your last moments honorable."

Pulling out his other revolver, Rakk unloaded the empty shells upon the ground from that one as well before turning both of his guns skyward, elbows pointed out to his sides. "I propose a duel, one that should bring honor to even a sinful labrat such as yourself. Take the first shot, but if you take too long, you may just get toasted."

As he was saying this, the pupil of his left eye turned white, and Rakk had trouble keeping his voice from rising. The results of his efforts paid off for the most part, except for the word 'Toasted' sounded as if it came from a high pitched demon rather than Rakk. His orange eyes flickered back to normal once he finished, as if Rakk was trying to keep himself from getting too riled up.

Zeke stood staring at the man, watching as he unloaded his revolvers and held them skyward. He stared at the man, unblinking, listening to his words. Smiling as the man spoke of honor, and a duel. Wondering if he was being underestimated, somehow he kind of doubted it. He firmly believed this man was strong, especially if he had taken out several other bounty hunters. He almost admired the mans "honor" before he remembered that very same honor could put a bullet in him.

He couldn't throw a knife fast enough to guarantee a hit, not at this range, and not against a skilled gunman. He had to wonder if the man was serious about only having brought twelve rounds, it seemed so reckless. He also couldn't rush him fast enough to stab him. He wondered for a second, but taking the man completely serious on his threat. Zeke lowered his arms, staring the man in the eyes as his voice changed. "A non-human, this may just be interesting."

As Zeke spoke he snapped his fingers sending a fireball dashing towards the man, as soon as he had shot it he jumped away, sliding his katana down to his waist and drawing it.

Rakk's smile widened as the fireball hit him in the chest, catching, yet not burning his cloths. feeling the heat of the flames and remembering the scent of sulfur, Rakk's eyes lit up as his pupils turned white. Bowing only his head to stare into the flames on his chest, Rakk smiled behind the brim of his hat. His voice rose to the earlier surprisingly high octave, perhaps even higher than when he had let slip before.

"Its been a while since since I've been set aflame. I almost forgot the feeling." he said, lifting his head up to state at his target with a insane look in his orange eyes with their white pupils. "Its time to start some real fun now."

Twisting his revolvers to the side as he loaded the chambers, Rakk would begin spinning while firing the small condensed fireballs he created with his ability to control fire. He knew he was causing unneeded destruction and didn't care, he was having too much fun. Laughing a high pitched "KYAHAHAHA" as he spun, Rakk's only thoughts would be of glorious flames and incinerating his target before causing many more leaping bonfires.

Zeke stared in shock as the fireball didn't even faze the man. He watched as the man calmly looked down at the flames. He was surprised the fire didn't hurt the man at all. He almost smiled at the sound of the man's voice as he spoke to him. "So Inhuman, no need to hold back." He couldn't keep the excited edge out of his voice.

He knew it would be dangerous to underestimate the man, but he couldn't help but feel excitement at the idea of a good fight. He just wished it wasn't so close to his hideout.

As the man shot at him Zeke swung his katana, causing a powerful gust of wind to blow the fire bullets away from him. Looking at the amount of burning destruction, he couldn't help but feel excited. He pulled the fire away from the buildings and condensed it in a ball in his right hand. He threw the ball at the man and manipulated the wind to make it travel much faster as he charged forward with his katana.

The fireball caused Rakk to stop his spin and laugh even harder. Tongue outstretched as he laughed with a seemingly warped smile, Rakk realized his bullets never found their mark. Seeing how his opponent was ready, Rakk's smile faded and he looked at the fire covering him. It was warm, cozy to him even, and he felt the need to spread it.

Putting one of his revolvers away, Rakk jumped high in the air to get ontop of a building. Firing off round after round into the surrounding area, Rakk landed on the building and took a deep whiff of the smell of burning wood as he began disassembling his revolver. Moving through the almost camouflaged pouches on his body with surprising ease, Rakk swapped the parts out on his revolver and closed the pouches.

Smiling as he took a brief moment to admire his handiwork, Rakk fired his modified revolver toward his target. Nothing noticeable really changed on the weapon save for the barrel looking a bit larger than before, and the spreadshot of fire that erupted from it every time he pulled the trigger.

Zeke watched the man as he jumped to the top of the building. Watching as the man modified his revolver. He started to manipulate the wind, allowing it to lift him up. As he held his katana at the ready.

He felt confident that he could keep the wind steady enough to quickly raise him, while also being able to block or dodge any attack from the man. He still undid one of the straps on his buster sword making it loose enough to easily use if necessary.

Zeke had the wind raise him up, charging up to the man. As the man shot, Zeke swung his katana to block any fire that came towards him. Making it dissappear as he blocked it, to prevent any extra destruction. He threw knives at the man as he flew upwards.

Seeing that his fire had little effect, Rakk began pressuring the fire into a crystallized form that would explode upon impact. This would take longer to shoot and fire he knew, but made his hits much more deadly. It was just before he could fire the first crystal off that the throwing knives hit him.

Staggering back as the flames around his body sealed the wounds from the few knives that didn't bounce off the metal cases for parts he had all over his body, Rakk began loading crystals into the cylinders in both of his guns as well as the many cylinders in his parts cases. Looking at the man flying, Rakk started to stall for time by increasing the intensity of the flames around his body to cause a change in the wind. He knew if the flames were hot enough they would cause a change in the wind, hopefully breaking the careful balance that kept his target afloat.

Regardless of if his stall for time worked, Rakk would swap revolvers and pull out one of the throwing knives sticking out of his body. Quickly throwing the knife to where his target was nearby, Rakk would fire a crystal at the knife so it would ricochet off and explode behind him. If this worked, Rakk would proceed to quickly empty the other five crystals into various open joints on the man flying toward him, hoping to break off his arms or legs with the fiery explosions while cauterizing the wounds so that he wouldn't bleed out and end the fun too early.

Zeke rushed forward after the man, smiling that some of his knives hit their mark. Yet he was still shocked the man seemed unfazed. He tried to figure out just what he was up against when he felt a change in wind. He almost laughed.

"It'll take more than that to cripple my control." As he spoke he increased the gusts of wind, causing it to swirl around him in a tornado. Putting out the majority of the burning buildings. As he controlled the wind he returned the katana to it's sheath, adopting a stance similar to Iaido, and calmed his mind.

He stared at the man, waiting on him to make a move as he swirled the wind around him faster. Watched as the man swapped his revolvers and pulled out a knife, he hoped the man was focused on him in the tornado as he started to focus energy on a knife still in the man.

Rakk knew his stall for time didn't work, and it has cost him only a few rounds in a spare ammo cylinder. Quickly judging the new tornado for accuracy, Rakk threw the knife so that it would fly around his target at the same level of his sheathed sword. As he threw the knife, the fire enveloping Rakk would move up to his forehead and form the orange iris for the emerging eye.

This eye was not one he showed many, but was almost always his ace in the hole for accuracy. Opening vertically instead of horizontally, the flaming orange iris would stand out against his other eyes to anyone who looked dead on.

Using the eye to place his shots more accurately, Rakk lowered his head slightly and fired off all six crystals. The first one firing toward the knife so that it would spin and hopefully be launched toward the man's right shoulder. The rest came with a delay, firing at the man's wrists, knees, and throat at the position the man was expected to be in once the knife landed. Rakk was confident his shots would launch fast enough, but had a slight feeling that not everything would go exactly as planned.

Zeke knew he couldnt dodge or block the bullets fast enough. He just released the tornado and the air holding him up and fell. Using his focused power on the knife in the man's body to push it forward while he fell. As he did this he felt the knife the man threw slide across his cheek, slightly cutting him. He used the air to slow his fall and landed softly on the ground.

He moved to his earlier stance and drew his blade as fast as he could, building up wind on the katana and sending it straight at the man, and using the momentum to send another cut towards the building, he was hoping he would either hit the man or at least cause him to fall.

He ran a flame charged finger over his cheek to cauterize the cut and and grabbed his buster sword. "It's been awhile since I bled. You're going to be a good fight" He stabbed the buster sword into the ground and threw off his overcoat, returning the sword to his back and taking to the air again.

Rakk felt the knife push into him as a gush of blood erupted from the wound. Taking extra calculations due to the pain, Rakk noted points of interest as he watched the man fall in what seemed to him to be slow motion due to his heightened senses. Reassuring that his previously fired shots would deal damage to a building near his target, hopefully causing it to collapse on his target, Rakk loaded each chamber in the cylinder of his revolver simultaneously with his usual fireball rounds as he planned his next move.

Seeing the man slash the wind toward him, Rakk knew the scythe of wind flying toward him would spell his doom. Adjusting his body so that it would impact upon the metal cases for weapons, Rakk made a motion as if he was backhanding someone in front of him with his revolver. Firing off rounds impacting upon various locations in the area as he did so, Rakk allowed the force of the wind to carry him up in the air and seemed to fall down onto the building behind him. Saving the last round he loaded for himself, Rakk put the gun to the side of his head and fired, laughing his high pitched laugh as he allowed the flames to tend to his wounds.

Zeke frowned as the man dodged his attack and moved to a different building as the one he slashed at started to fall. He dashed through the city trying to hide in the buildings. He jumped through the window of a building and sat against the wall, trying to catch his breath as he could see several burning buildings. He wondered what the man could be doing, and why he was wasting ammo or energy. He thought about drawing on the fire to revitalize himself but thought better of it, he knew the man had great control over fire and if he stole the fire's energy he may find out where he is hiding.

He sat against the wall, thinking over his options, realizing he'd have no choice but to close the distance and fight him up close. He stayed against the wall, trying to discern the man's location, playing a bit with the wind. He pulled out a throwing knife and stared at it, super heating it and using the wind to thin up the blade, making the blade sharp enough to easily split a hair. He stayed in the building and waited for the man to make his next move.

Rakk allowed the fires around his body to die down a bit, reducing them to no more than a thin layer of fire that he kept in case he needed it later. Sitting up, Rakk looked through his flaming third eye to the various locations he had fired at, seeing through the bonfires he started as easily as if he were standing there.

It was the slight wind that tore at his flames that caught his attention. It felt as if the wind was trying to make out where he was, passing by as if a large broom swept past him and noticed he sat there. The feeling unsettled him, and he felt the need to trick whoever was doing this. Focusing on the fires he had started before flying with the wind scythe, Rakk added weight to each of the bonfires, as if he was standing there himself. In turn this allowed him to spy through his fires much easier, which delighted Rakk so much he decided to have the fires take the same shape as him with only the third eye as a feature that wasn't flames.

Smiling as he caught sight of his target through not one, but two of his flaming doppelgangers, Rakk laughed as he saw a throwing knife seemingly heat itself. The concept of objects that set themselves on fire amused him, and he decided to play a trick of his own. Aiming his revolver at the sky, Rakk shot a round that he curved in midair to zip through the buildings and land from the opposite direction so that it was visible to his target. From this bullet, another of his fire doppelgangers would be formed that bowed formally to his target before starting up a waltz with itself. The waltz was meant for pure entertainment purposes, merely to dance around the room and keep his foe on his toes while Rakk observed the confusion he caused with delight.

Zeke sat staring outside when he heard the revolver shot, he looked around as the wind was feeling several odd places. He was immediately on edge and when he couldn't determine where the shot came from he stood. As he saw the man appear in flames he gripped his katana. As the man bowed and started to waltz he was almost dumbstruck.

Not wasting time to try and physically attack the man, he reached out with the wind, took a deep breath, and sucked all the air out of the room leaving it a vacuum, while creating a barrier over the room to prevent circulation. He watched as the man faded away, and allowed air to flow freely again.

He slipped through the window, keeping the wind blowing randomly, trying to figure out which of the odd places was actually the man. he held his katana closely, while carefully slipping the thinned knife into a holder. As he walked through the streets, trying to stay hidden. He felt something unnatural about the fires he could see, he noticed those were where the odd places were, and did his best to stay out of sight of them.

Rakk smiled wide as his waltz offer was defeated. The method was crude, and he could have saved it if he focused on the flames, be he thought better of it. Making sure his "spy network" was running nicely, Rakk pondered how he could have fun with his prey before he realized that the man knew that the fires were watching him.

Getting up, Rakk decided to make things interesting. Focusing on all the fires simultaneously, Rakk took a step to the side, causing all of his fire clones to do the same. As he took this sidestep Rakk focused on having the fires split and copy themselves, including the fire that enveloped his body to ensure that his position wasn't given away so easily. Taking a quick headcount of the eleven fire copies as well as himself, still on fire, Rakk started giving his firey creations a bit more of a will.

Focusing on making his clones to act as silent sentries, Rakk and the clone next to him both turned their backs to each other before walking off. Having his eyes in twelve places was fun, but having those twelve places become mobile made it hard for Rakk to stop himself from laughing and giving away his position. It would be a fun little way to pass the time as he stalked his prey, especially since his sentries could stalk him themselves. He hoped he could convince his prey to dance with him before the deed was done, and focused on enhancing all but three of the clones so that they could function without fuel as he wandered the city without any real direction, keeping to the rooftops so that he could react easier if he was spotted.

Zeke walked through the city when he noticed the odd places were moving, they had doubled and were now moving everywhere. He was certain the man could see him, and he was having trouble watching all the things at once. He jumped and flew up to a roof and saw a few of the odd things, and realized they were all doppelgangers. He decided it was pointless to try to hide with so many of them and just sat on the building with his katana in his lap.

As he did this he started drawing on the fire to give him energy back, full well knowing this would probably bring them straight to him. Hopefully he'd draw out the real one, and see if he could so easily heal from his sharpened throwing knife. As he sat he started moving the wind in a steady rhythm, moving it in different directions, trying to confuse anything paying attention to it, while also keeping a steady grip on it should he need an emergency gust or tornado.

He wondered what all the doppelgangers could do, if they'd try to attack him, and just how strong they'd be compared to the real one. As he thought he stood and took off his buster sword and stabbed it into the building, giving easier access should he need it. He stood, waiting on the man or his doppelgangers to make a move.

Rakk frowned in disappointment as his prey gave up hiding and moved to the rooftops. He was hoping for a bit more of an entertaining hunt, and it was one of the few things that kept him excited. He knew that the flames contributed to the majority of his general hype, but with the recent letdowns by his target to play with him Rakk had all but lost his excitement.

His pupils returning to their normal black, Rakks thoughts slowed to his original calm as he reassessed the situation. Taking into account of his doppelgangers as well as the target's choice of weaponry as he pulled out a stray throwing knife, Rakk send a programmed message to his doppelgangers to all arrive at the same time. He knew it would take a few moments, but having twelve of him show up to surround his target was much more efficient than arriving alone.

Walking calmly so as not to arrive before any of his clones, Rakk removed some stones sticking in his cloths and made himself presentable before messing with his revolvers. Replacing their parts so they would be sporting some twenty round cylinders, switchblade grips, and reinforced black barrels, Rakk made sure he had everything set to either unleash the crystallized ammo in the cylinders or deal with close ranged duel. He knew he may have to get some distance to reverse the cylinders and use the other ten shots that they held, but didn't think it would be too hard with his experience. Especially when he thought of how his revolvers could act as either fifty pound clubs or hooked daggers.

Rakk stifled a grin as he finally approached the man from his front, looking solemn as his doppelgangers walked in from positions not unlike that of a clock; with Rakk standing at the twelve o'clock position. He thought he would allow his target the honor of the first strike, smiling as he spread his arms wide with a revolver in each hand.

Zeke stared as the doppelgangers had him surrounded. He gripped the handle of the throwing knife tightly. He looked at the man holding his arms out with his revolvers, and he noticed they were heavily modified. He knew he couldn't fight all 12 at once, yet it seemed like the man would give him the first strike. He wouldn't disappoint.

Wasting no time Zeke threw the sharpened knife, using wind to propel it straight at the man's chest. As he did this he drew his katana and spun manipulating the wind to create a scythe flying towards the doppelgangers. He sheathed the katana and grabbed the buster sword. As he did this, he jabbed the air with his fingers sending a small but strong blast of wind where the knife should hit the man.

Rakk, his senses heightened from both his third eye open and the calm in his mind, wasted no time. He knew that the doppelgangers were done for the second he saw his target toss the knife at him to have both hands to his blade. Flaring the fire around his body, Rakk gave up his control over the doppelgangers and focused on covering himself with a low, hot fire that flared to life surprisingly fast.

The wind scythe had cut through half of the doppelgangers before Rakk moved his arms inward to fire at the man. Rakk was sure he would be able to fire before the man could send off a second strike, and managed to fire off two rounds from each revolver in rapid succession before the jab of wind launched the knife through Rakk's ribs and out the back of his body. Rakk's eyes flared back to his white pupiled insanity as he flared the fire around him to a small inferno.

Keeping the general area of aim to being indirectly aimed at his prey, Rakk made sure that the surrounding spray of explosions from the crystals were aimed more toward the ground at his targets feet as well as wherever he could move to. The first four rounds he had fired while his sanity prevailed were directed right toward the center of mass of his target, a distraction so that he would move and be caught unawares by one of the shards of crystallized fire that were set to imbed itself halfway in its target before exploding.

Zeke moved the buster sword in front of him and charged forward, not looking to see if the scythe did it's job, he saw the knife hit the man as he shot, trusting the sword could block most if not all the damage from his bullets, he pushed the wind in strong gusts towards the man to push any stray fire away from Zeke. His charge was a distraction as he still had control on the knife he had thrown through the man and had it flying for where the man's heart should be.

As he moved forward he used his own fire to fight the fire explosions the other man caused, he knew he would get burned but he was using the fire's energy to block out the pain, he could heal it later. So long as the roof held intact, he could. He knew he was being reckless, but the moment had got to him and he was determined to not let the man put distance between them. He would fight the man on his terms, but he still had the common sense to have the blowing wind keep any fire that touched him from catching. He didn't want the man demonstrating any extra control.

He also hoped that when the wind pushing him and the wind that was carrying the knife back hit the man, it would knock him off balance, giving Zeke a chance to go in for the kill. He doubted it would all go as he planned, but it was worth the shot.

Rakk was laughing as the man charged him, the wind buffeting him as he continued to fire. He knew something might be up for the man to try bumrush tactics at such a late stage in their encounter, but was having too much fun to deny him. Making sure to keep planted, Rakk tensed for his next move as he popped the cylinders out and slapped them in midair with his revolvers so they loaded the next twenty rounds, ending up with his arms crossed in front of him with the triggers by his ears to compensate for the wind.

From this position he knew his target was close enough to take a swing, so Rakk decided to make the first move. Flipping the switch for the curved blade on his left hand revolver, Rakk took a quick step toward his opponent. From here he would pull his arm back and jam the curved blade so it would hold the edge of the buster sword up. Pulling the blade toward him with his left, Rakk would continue his slight spin and place the barrel of his right hand revolver just underneath his armpit before firing at point blank at the man.

This strategy relied entirely on the fact that his opponent would have a death grip on his blade however, as it utilized the pulling of the blade as a way to set him off balance and therefore an easier target. If the man let go, the blade would go flying and Rakk's shot would be wide before he could snap his arm out to smack his target with a revolver using his almost unnaturally long reach before unloading a few rounds into a dazed target. It was equally fortunate, in Rakk's mind anyway, that this seemed like the total opposite of what any sane gunman would do in a fight where he had the total ability to back away, as this would further throw his opponent off guard and hopefully be able to cause more point blank devastation before he retaliated.
