Ada gulped and allowed the man to escort her away from the scene. Once they were out of sight of the vans and cars, he started to struggle. She started as she remembered that he'd been shot. He put on a pretty convincing act, though. She hoisted herself to where his weight was on her shoulders.

She struggled with the thought that the man with his arm around her was a member of a mob, but she knew a soul in need of help when she saw one. And anyways, for a mobster he didn't seem so bad. She looked over at him. "Where are we goin' now, stranger?"

------------------------------------------

Lailah caught the blade in her teeth, smiling. She'd been itching for a fight with this demon ever since she realized that he shot Grigori. She tossed her head and flicked her tongue throwing the knife straight into an unknown demon that was advancing towards her. Crouching as another jumped at her, she caught another blade coming straight at her between her fingers. She sliced upwards, maiming the demon that she had just evaded.

Lailah's heart was pounding. She couldn't remember the last time she'd been in a good fight. And it would have been a massacre, too, if she hadn't been focused on the demon that shot her love. She found herself aiming every weapon she caught at him, rarely hitting him due to clever evasive action on his part. She did catch him a couple times: three bullets in the arm and one knife in the knee. It wasn't enough.

Luke had dodged and evaded her counter-attacks for the most part. He shrugged and expelled the bullets from his arm with a flick, and pulled the knife out of his knee, licking his own blood from the blade and flashing a red smile. He held both the knives in reverse grip and charged the angel.

He slashed at her face and her chest with one motion before kicking her in the ribs and pushing back, using his own momentum to propel himself backwards, throwing both his knives at her as he went.

Jean had succeeded in pissing off the men who showed up, they turned their guns away from the diner and other people and towards him. He had his sword drawn again, the cane part still held in the crook of his arm. That made them pause. He waited for them to make the first move, or for the other mob too.

Joe did his best not to put too much weight of the woman as he leaned on her a bit as he staggered on. "My truck," He replied to her. "I need to change out of this shirt, and i'm sure that's where i'll be spending the rest of the night." his strength was fading and he needed to rest as his body finished healing the bullet hole through this chest. He now praised and cursed his decision to park a ways from the diner.

"I'm Joe, by the way," he muttered as they neared his truck. "I'm sorry you had to witness, let alone have any part in, that mess back there. It's not normal for them to attack so publicly."

-----------------

Around the corner in the opposite direction sat a gang of bikers outside a bar. They all talked and drank, looking as inconspicuous as a bunch of bikers can.Someone's phone began to ring. The gang's Leader answered the call casually.

"There's a large group heading your way, following a man with a cane. Take care of them." the voice on the other end said.

"Roger that," The leader replied and the line went dead. He gave an order to move out and the gang got on their bikes and started off to take care of the threat.

Azira spat out a little blood. She had been caught by a stray blow from anther demon as she and Adamus been deflected. Adamus was injured pretty badly. She glowered at the angel as she made her way behind it. Just a bit longer she thought, we just need to stall a little bit longer.

As what-his-face preoccupied Lailah with his attacks azira summond the shadows to bind themselves around her. Lailah landed pefectly in Azira's trap when she was kicked back. THe shadows formed a vice around the angel. Azira smirked a bit. As she struggled the trap only got tighter.

The door burst open with a loud bang. "Aw," a deep voice spoke, "now why did you start the party with out me?"

"Nice of you to finally show up, Alastair!" Azira called to the demon.

Alastair was big, mean, and no someone you wanted to piss off. He strode into the building followed by several lackeys. He went straight for Azira. "Adamus said there were two of them."

"This one took the other away then came back alone."

Alastair nodded. He called out a command for the severely injered to be taken back to Hell to heal. "You sure made a mess of things Az." he muttered.

Az just rolled her eyes.

"Nice to meet ya, Joe. Though I do wish it were under better circumstances. I'm Ada." She adjusted herself to where he was rested quite nicely over her shoulder and it felt more like he was holding her than leaning on her. She sighed as they finally reached his truck. She helped him into it and turned away so that he could change his shirt.
"I hope ya don't mind if I stick around. I've got nowhere to be an' I can sleep in the bed of the truck."

----------------------------------------------------------

Lailah spat as she was thrown on the ground. She knew that she wasn't going to win that fight, but she had hoped to kill more of the demons. Now here she was in Hell, and Grigori was God-knows-where doing God-knows-what with God-knows-who. He had to be awake by now, and she hoped that he was searching for her. He was really her only hope. The other rogues had abandoned them for their relationship, saying that it created weakness. Now Lailah and Grigori were the losers of the losers. Nobody wanted them.

Lailah allowed her wings a material form and curled them around herself. They were stronger than diamond, but they couldn't stay out for more than three hours. She had that amount of time to think and plan. She needed to find a way to get a message to Grigori. He was her only hope at this point.

Luke had decided to follow with the demons and the rogue angel to Hell. When the angel decided to cloak herself with her wings he walked up to her. "You know, you're pretty tenacious, fighting off so many demons" He knelt beside her, placing his hand on one of the diamond hard wings, ignoring the burn the contact of something holy caused him. He then whispered, in a voice only he, and the angel would be able to hear. "Listen, it's in my best interests to sow chaos right about now, both in the mortal realm, and here. Satan doesn't want a war to start, I do. So what you're going to do, is you're going to take those pretty little wings of yours, uncurl them, and do whatever teleporting thing you do and get out of here. And what I'm going to do is make sure you get out. You go find your lover, go find the other rogues, go do whatever, an angel escaping Hell when she was all but caught will cause many demons to want retribution, we don't like to be beaten, and I'm sure your little lover will be already telling of how you two were assaulted by demons. Which won't leave many angels, rogue or not, happy." He applied his demonic power to her wind where his hand was, causing it to waver slightly. "If I wanted you to die, all I'd have to do is apply a little more pressure, so trust me or not. I'm giving you your only chance out of this."

He then stood, letting the bonds of his human form slip off, his black hair grew down to his back, his clothes changed into a dark armor, much like what the archangels wore, but blacker than sin itself in color. From his back spouted two great wings, feather's black like a crow. His eyes shined a fiery red, and from his head two horns grew, almost a foot long they were, and curved. Between these horns lay a burning crown. The symbol of the High-Daemon he had inherited from his mother. He focused his energy and from his hand appeared a sword, a meter long and sharper than any steel could be.

When the lesser demons saw him they bowed, awed by his presence, and trying not to be outright crushed by his aura. They had no immediate reaction when he slashed through three of them, killing them instantly, and then they started to run. He turned his attention to Alistair and Azira now. Hoping the angel behind him would take the hint and go. It was almost comical, the son of one of the most feared High-Daemons, and a High-Daemon himself helping a rogue angel escape from the depths of hell. He thought to himself that this is what the songs of old were made of, that his name would go down in legend in Heaven for this, and in terror in Hell. He knew other "rogue" demons had agendas of their own, they all did. He wanted war though, he wanted a chance to rise, he wanted a chance to fight with the strongest in existence. But mostly, he wanted to show his parents that he was not their child, he wanted to show Lucifer he was no minion any more.

Jean had dashed into their midst before they could shoot at him, slashing back and forth again and again, the air around him was nothing but a splash of red, the smell of iron. In a quick secession he had cut through half of the mobsters that were there, when the rest of both sides started to show up, they quickly began fighting themselves, so he dashed away, wiping the blood from his sword and returning it to it's sheathe, the sound of gunfire was slowly fading, when he saw the immortal man and the girl again, limping up the street.

He decided he would join them, he walked up the them, his suit spattered with blood, not a drop of it his, and said. "And just where would you two be going all alone? Don't you know it's dangerous to be out so late, especially with a mobster marked for death." He said the last part looking at the girl, unsure if she knew exactly what she was getting into.

Azira swore at the madness. She wasn't too fond of the angel being able to spread its wings but Alastair was said to just let her be and they would get to her when she was forced to retracted them. And then He had to go and cause some chaos. Azira knew now how much trouble she was in. She clutched Umbræ Mortis in one hand and a colt in the other, not all that sure if they would be useful. She vaguely heard Alastair screaming at her to run. Normally she would have rebuked him and stood and fought, but not this time. She bolted from the room, flying off to the one person who might be able to help: Lucifer.

She found him and many High-Daemons in the middle of some meeting. She just burst in and landed in the middle of the room.

"Azira, What do you think your doing here?" Her Father called to her from his seat as she caught her breath.

"It's Lucas!" she panted. "He's gone rouge. He killed three demons watching the angel we captured and hell know what else he's done since I left."

The room went dead silent.

"Now i'm not gonna let a pretty little like yourself sleep in the bed of my truck. It just ain't right." Joe said as he dug around for a shirt her could wear. As he changed he examined the wound in his chest. It was a clean though bullet hole, right through his left peck. It seemed the bullet had somehow missed his heart, but only by a fraction of an inch to the right. Thankfully it was healing rather well. Joe pulled on and buttoned up a flannel shirt before turning back to Ada. "If ya sleep here in the truck ya gonna sleep in the cab. Even if that means I'm in the bed, then so be it."

Joe could almost sell the man from before when he walked up, there was so much blood. "Ain't planing on much of anywhere until I'm sure i won't pass out while driving." Joe muttered. HE crossed his arm over his chest. "And so ya know, i ain't marked for death. Blancs are opportunist and are know for random acts of violence, especially against rivals. The one that shot me just wasn't too bright. It's widely known who i work for  in the underground and what i can do to someone who pisses me off. The kid stupidly thought to challenge that. Unfortunately for me the kid was a pretty damn good shot and was smart enough to call for back up. Fortunately though i didn't have to lift a finger tonight. Thank you, by the way, both of you." The corners of Joe's mouth quirked in to a bit of a smile. "I owe ya one." He directed this more towards Ada.
