Description: Leila has long, straight, dark violet hair. She keeps her bangs pulled back in pins to keep them out of her face. She has clear blue eyes that are sometimes obscured by her thin silver-rimed reading glasses. She is tall and slim, weighing in at 140 lbs at 5’11”. She has multiple charms tattooed to her body to enhance her natural magical abilities. These include one on the small of her back, her left shoulder that carries over to her back, and several rune patterns on her face.

Attire: Leila wears pristine white robes with indigo sashes that indicate her rank as a Higher Mage. She has tall black riding boots that she wears with thick tights underneath her robe. She likes to wear headbands to help keep her hair in place and will wear white gloves when riding her horse. Her clothes and hair are littered with different charms and stones, each with their own specific use in her trade.

Personality: Leila is very refined and practical, which can sometimes come off as a bit cold. She is a very kind person though, and will often go out of her way to help people. She hates recognition for such acts however, so she will try and help through anonymous means. She thinks highly of herself and her abilities and will not put up with anyone speaking poorly of her. She gets very angry if she sees someone being abused or mistreated.

Weapons: The only weapon that Leila carries is a two foot long white-birch staff with a quartz crystal at the end.

Skills: Leila is incredible skilled in all forms of magic. She has had great natural abilities that she has amplified at any opportunity through tattoos and different trinkets she keeps. She is able to supplement most of the skills that she lacks with her magic. She is terrible with any sort of physical conflict or hunting and often relies on those she travels with to provide food. She is a talented at cooking when given the opportunity.

Family: Leila’s parents gave her to the main branch of the church at the young age of three as a tithe. She was not bitter however, having been raised by a loving older nun name Sister Maria who is her mother-figure. She received great support from all of the church members.

Short Bio: Leila was raised by Sister Maria in the church. She was tutored by many of the sisters and clergy, eagerly absorbing any new information they could throw at her. When she turned ten she decided against becoming a nun like her beloved Sister Maria, instead gravitating towards the Mage’s Circle. She quickly discovered that she had a natural gift for magic, often able to make up spells on the spot instead of relying on the classically accepted ones.
She was promoted from a student to a full Mage at the young age of fifteen, at which point she was allowed to begin traveling on her own to improve her abilities. It was through these travels to the far reaches of the kingdom that she learned how to strengthen her magic through skin symbols and charms. She quickly began gathering items of power that she felt could aid her later.
She returned to the church after five years of traveling and completed the test to be accepted as a Higher Mage. The promotion gave her the ability to take on students, should she decide to do so, as well as practice any form of magic without restriction. She has since been traveling to other countries, seeking new information and hoping to find a student worthy of her teaching.

Friends: Leila keeps in contact with Sister Maria through letter and mirror communications. She has not made many other friends, since most people find her a little stuck up and unapproachable. Her one constant companion is her raven, Faiye.

Age: 18

Description: As a shape shifter, Mimi can change her size and appearance at will. She has a form that she prefers however, and stays in this form unless the situation demands otherwise. Mimi is small for her age at 5’2” and as such is often mistaken for a child. She has medium-length hair that she normally keeps a light blue color and has dark golden eyes. She loves taking animal forms and will usually have some sort of animal characteristics about her, be it furry ears, a tail, or wings. She has a normal complexion, but is usually extremely tan from spending time outside.

Attire: Mimi prefers to wear tightly fitting clothes made of a special material that grows or shrinks when she does. She likes to wear bright colors, especially violet or red. She likes to go without shoes if at all possible, but will wear sturdy boots if she is going into the mountains.

Weapons: Bow and arrow with differently tipped arrows in separate quivers (dipped in different plant extracts. She keeps arrows that are dipped in a toxin, a tranquilizer, and a paralyzing agent). She keeps several small hunting knives strapped to her arms and legs, and one tied to the small of her back.

Skills: Mimi is extremely agile when in a forested environment. She is well versed in plant lore and plant identification for most environments. She can make many simple medicines or antitoxins with her plant knowledge, and can always identify edible plants. She has limited cooking abilities. She is a skilled hunter but prefers killing and eating fish over mammals.

Family: Mimi grew up in a family with several children of which she was the second youngest. Most of her siblings moved to different areas of Otiun to start families of their own and have not kept in close contact. She has stayed with her parents to help raise her younger brother, Zayko who is 10. Both Zayko and her mother have disappeared since the vanishings have started.

Short Bio: Mimi was raised by both of her parents in a household with several siblings. In her large family she learned to either speak her mind or be overlooked, so she is never afraid to say what she is thinking or ask for what she wants. She discovered at a young age that she had a gift for recognizing different species of herbs and plants. When her parents discovered her ability, they had her apprentice to the local healer.
When she turned 14 her teacher sent her to Imentum so that she could gain more knowledge and experience from the city healers. She lived there for two years before completing her training and returning to her own small village. She did not particularly enjoy her time in the city, and does not plan on ever moving back.

Friends: She has several friends in the village, and kept in contact with a few that she made in Imentum. She is generally well-liked although some people can find her overly-outgoing personality to be a bit annoying. She writes occasionally to her city teacher, Ayoka, mainly to keep up with the latest medicines and studies. She has dated several boys in the past few years, but so far no one has been able to keep her attention for more than a few months.

Description: Shaun is tall with broad shoulders and a muscular build. He has short black hair with one long strand that runs down the left side of his face which he keeps braided. His eyes are dark blue and he usually has a neatly trimmed beard. He has a dark complexion which he gets from his mother, a giantess. He has multiple scars on his body from past fights. The most notable of these are a long slash across his chest and several along his left arm that look as if they were made by animal claws.

Attire: Shaun wears mostly cotton shirts with sturdy leather pants and boots. He prefers loose fitting clothes that are easy to move in. He has a metal breast plate that he seems to cherish, although it is slightly too small for him.

Weapons: A home-made bow and arrow that he uses mainly for hunting. He also had a long broad-sword that his father gave him. It has a simple handle, but masterfully carved engravings of a serpent breathing fire on the blade itself.

Skills: Shaun is a proficient hunter and is skilled at most forms of melee and combat. He had a very limited education. What he lacks in knowledge he makes up for with practical skills and common sense.

Personality: Shaun has a very kind nature and loves people. He is readily liked by most people, especially fellow soldiers, who often come to him as a confidant. He is slow to anger, but is extremely dangerous if worked into a rage. He is most defensive of his family and friends.

Short Bio: Shaun was raised by two loving parents. He was an only child, and was often doted on. Because of his parents mixed races though, they were not accepted by the general populace and were forced to live on a small farm outside of town. They are content there however, making the best of it by raising cattle and growing a small vegetable garden that is Shaun’s mother’s pride and joy. Shaun’s father taught him how to use a bow and sword since he was a child, and he quickly grew fond of both sparing and hunting.
Shaun met a young Halfling named Wilma when he was a child and they quickly became friends despite their many differences. When they were teenagers, a local farmer’s boy tried to sexually attack Wilma, which sent Shaun into his first blind-rage. He almost killed the boy, but Wilma was able to calm him. The incident further isolated his family from the nearby town and only feverous defending from his and Wilma’s family prevented serious punishment.
His father gave him his sword when he was drafted into the King’s army at eighteen. He quickly proved himself to be an ideal soldier, skilled with a weapon and quick to follow orders. He never earned or sought promotion due to his limited education, but he was a favorite among the common soldiers.

Family: Father: Oron, human. He is reaching his late fifties and is beginning to grey. He loves his son dearly and will do anything necessary to help him succeed in life.
Mother: Shearon, giantess. She is actually younger than Shaun’s father, but appears to be around the same age due to the fact that giants have a shorter life-span than humans.

Friends: Wilma, Halfling. She has been Shaun’s friend from an early age and eagerly follows him everywhere. When he was drafted into the army, Wilma volunteered as a nurse in the army to stay near him. He has several friends that he met in the army, his closest being a foot soldier named Michael Strongarm.

Description: Wilma has strawberry-blonde hair that she likes to keep short in imitation of Shaun’s. She has a full figure for a Halfling, which she readily shows off. She has large orange eyes and a light complexion.

Attire: Wilma loves to wear bright colors, but such dyes are hard to come by with her meager earnings as a nurse. She usually ends up wearing cotton dresses with as much color and embroidery as she can afford. She wears lace-up leather sandals. She likes to tie fresh flowers or feathers in her hair to add a splash of color to her attire.

Weapons: None that she uses as such. She keeps a knife on her, but uses it to cut bandages and herbs.

Skills: Wilma has a working knowledge of human anatomy and simple herbs. She has learned how to dress and clean wounds from working as a nurse, although she is far from the most skilled.

Personality: Wilma is very bright and bubbly, often getting herself into trouble for being too outspoken. She is never afraid in such situations though, as Shaun is always close by to help her if she needs it. She is openly friendly to everyone, even if they are being cruel to her. She has never been known to get angry, but her feelings are easily hurt.

Short Bio: Wilma was raised in the town of Urael by her father, but never liked to stay in the city walls. She has an older sister that she cares for who works as a scribe in the local noble’s house. As a child she would often wander out of the city to pick flowers in nearby fields. It was during one such expedition that she met Shaun. The two instantly bonded, Wilma looking up to him as a brother.
When she was fifteen she was attacked by a local farm boy, but was saved Shaun’s timely arrival. She was terrified when Shaun lost his temper and attacked her assailant, but was able to work past it and stop Shaun from killing the boy.
When Shaun was drafted into the army she wasn’t sure what to do. She had no plan for her life, and no one to fall back on for support. She decided to volunteer as a nurse to stay close to Shaun, always insisting to be transferred to where his unit was stationed. She knew nothing of caring for the wounded, but her bright personality and eagerness to learn made her a favorite in the field. She learned what she could from watching the other volunteers and is now proficient at treating most wounds and illnesses.

Family: Father: Gal, Halfling. Gal is the local Fletcher. He lost himself to drink when his wife died delivering their second child. He loves his daughters, but is often unable to take care of them.
Mother: Sarah, Halfling (deceased). Sarah had helped raise her first daughter, Areana, until she was five. She died shortly after delivering Wilma.
Sister: Areana, Halfling. Areana cares for her sister, but often finds herself blaming her for their mother’s death. She works as a scribe for the local noble, living in a room at his house.

Friends: Due to her open personality, Wilma is friendly with almost everyone. She doesn’t usually get too close to them however. The only person she really allows herself to tell things to is Shaun.

Description: In her true form, Diana has light blue skin and yellow eyes with silver-blue hair. Her facial features and build are the same as in her human form. In her human form she has long, wavy black hair that reaches half-way down her back. Her eyes are light blue. She is well built, as one would expect of a succubus, with generously proportioned hips and chest. She has a fair complexion with no visual blemishes.

Attire: Diana wears skin-tight low riding jeans and soft cotton shirts that conform well to her body. She is almost always wearing high-heels with straps that wrap around her ankles. She loves jewelry, and will almost always be wearing some form of necklace and earring combination.

Weapons: Dianna doesn’t carry any weapons other than herself. She uses charm and seduction to incapacitate her victims.

Skills: Dianna’s main skills are those that come natural to her as a succubus. Over her long life-span she has picked up others, however. She is an extremely skilled musician, her favorite instruments being the violin and cello.

Personality: Diana is very poised and sophisticated in most situations. She keeps a careful reign on her emotions, since she learned long ago that they can be easily manipulated. Instead of having her own emotions, she uses those of others around her, letting them see what they want to.

Short Bio: Diana was born in London on the day of the Great Fire. Due to the confusion of the day, no one is exactly sure who her parents are. She was found in an alley and saved from the fire by a low class family. They raised her to the best of their abilities, but no matter how much they fed her, she never seemed satisfied. For that reason she always appeared thin and malnourished until she discovered her need for emotional satisfaction. Her first victim was her younger brother, who she accidentally fed on one day when they were play wrestling. She devoured more than she needed, almost killing him. After that her family cast her out as a demon.
She learned quickly from there how to take care of herself and what she needed to survive. She began to understand that she could eat from a person without killing them or emotionally draining them. She moved often to keep from being noticed by hunters. She moved to the New World in the late 16th century just after the United States successfully detached themselves from Brittan. She has continued to lie low, moving around occasionally to wherever she likes. She has visited many countries, but always makes her home in either Brittan or America.

Family: None that she’s aware of.

Friends: Diana keeps herself emotionally separate from almost everyone. She has made exception in the past, occasionally settling down with a man that she became fond of. Inevitably though, they always died while she stayed young and beautiful.
