PostSubject: The Dark Rose   Tue Nov 02, 2010 10:12 am

A young woman under a willow tree in the park near her home, is reading a book while waiting for someone. The light summer wind blows thru her dark red pontytail, and her dark forest green eyes are looking down thru a pair of sunglass at a book. The quiet morning make her feel at peace with the world around her. She slowly turn the page of the book with her pale peace hand, and starts to read the next page.

On noticed by ht young redhead a cute child wearing green shorts runs squeeling threw the park. He looked like any other happy child with out a shirt on such a lovely day but something seemed different about him. His hair was a hay yellow, his skin sun kissed, with the cutest chubby cheeks and body. What was he running from so happly and why was he not with an adult or another child. He squeeled and laughed jumping and running and in a flash running ther could be seen a slight up sweep of the small boys ears. He was an elf.

She is wearing a lot of sunscreen to make she don't burn in the sunlight. The park is on the edge of the forset that keep the elves and vampires kingdoms at bay. Nearly everyone is asleep but her, because she likes the way the sun warms her cold body. Then she heard squeeling of a young child playing and she turn her head. She saw a young boy, and when she saw his ears, knowing if the child got cote that he will be harm in someway.

So she put her book down and walk over to the child. "Hello. What are you doing here?" she said nicely to the elf boy.

The boy looked wide eyed at the woman and smiled. He spoke elvish and hugged her leg. He squeeled a bit more sounding to be speaking in a high pitch of joy when the wind rustled and a shadow loomed. A man looking to be in his late 20" with short white blond hair and Sapphire eyes. He was over 6 foot and dressed liek a human but the large eeys and upswept ears said otherwise. "And here I thought your kind slept all day. I guess I was wrong." He spoke and his voice was soft and cool. The little boy hugged the man's legs and spoke in the same odd tounge again pointed at the woman and the man nodded responding in the tounge. "He likes your hair, he says it reminds him of his fire bunny Nomad."

She smile and pat the boy's head when he grab her leg. She don'ts understand the word the boy saying, and when she looks up a elfish man came walking up. He has the most pretty blue eyes she thouht to herself. He voice soft and cool as the sunner winds at night. "I need to get away from my family and this is the only time I can do it." she said and her voice is dark but still soft.

She feels the little boy leave her leg for the man's. She laugh softly at what the little boy said. "Thank you little one. You hair reminds me of a sunny day." she with with lightness her voice that is usually hidden. Lillith didn't understand why both races cannot be friends. The war has been far in their history, and there is still some hate between both sides.

The older elf told the boy what the pretty woman said and he squeeled and giggled hugging her again. He then broke inot wild chatter and The older elf just rolled his eyes, "It's excitable...for give him, he's just a child." The older man scooped the boy up. "I apologize for intrupting your book. My nephew likes to run off when I'm not looking." The elder elf pinched the boy's nose and he laughed. "I am Ian and this is Isaac. It is a pleasure to me you Miss?" He extended his hand slowly so not to seem hostile.

Her smile gotten bigger when the little boy hug her again. Her smile holds a few pointy teeth. "That is alright. I like kids." she said when the older elf scoop up the boy. "That is alright. Kids will always run free when no one is looking." she said with a smile. "I am Lillith. It is nice to meet you." she said as she shakes Ian's hand. She a noble but she don't want them to know, because she don't want them to hate her.

Ian grasped Lilliath's hand and kissed it as he bowed, "Cool as lake water." He smiled as he was upright again. Issak spoke in the odd language and Ian sighed. "He wishes to know if you will join us for lunch in a few hours?" Little Isaak clapped his chubby hands together as if to incurage a 'yes'. Ian was doubtfult he woman should be out now let along stay till noon, when the sun was most detramental. In all honesty he shouldn't have been her, like Lilith's fear Ian was a noble himself. The guard to the King and Queen, hell the crown prince was squirming in his arms. If anyone where to pass by he could be called to the carpet for indangering his nephew. Which would be a load of crap but with times being what they where, abd old fears breeding new hatred and ingnoance in the next genoration.

Ian's hand feels like a warm day and she only smile as his kiss her hand. "I wish I can little one, but I do have to sleep." she said gently to the little boy knowing he don't understand her. Her smile falls a little bit when she said that. She happen to like both Ian and Issak. The younger elf seems to be full of life and the older one seems to understand her. Neighter have any fear of her, which is unusual and nice, and she want to know what their life and speak elfes.

Ian relayed the message to Isaak and he could see the boy not understanding, and said something before giggling. Ian just rolled his eyes, "He says after your mommy wakes you from your nap to come back and play." Isaak nodded and wiggled his hand before a braided wrath of dasies fell onto Lilliath's head. Ian smiled but chestised Isaak for using magic so openly, the boy pouted but his eyes held a smile. "My apologies Lilliath, elves are know for showing there feelings by a giving of a gift to a new friend and Isaak wished to give you pink and orange dasies." Isaak wiggled till his uncle set him down on his feet and hugged Lilliath's legs. "He's very affectionate." The woman seemed so nice, from her healthy complexion she looekd human but she smelled otherwise, but not like death as the elder had taught him the 'blood suckers' thay had been called. She just smelled different, as elves smelled of there surroundings, of tree or florial she just smelled differet. Ian wondered what else was different about her.

"Sure little one." she said in a laughing tone in her voice. Then she feels the wrath of flower fall on her head and she can only smile at the little elf boy. "Thank you. I like you too. Next time I see you I will give you something too." she said as she sit down and hug Isaak. The little elf smell of flowers, and the elder smell of musty books and sweet earth. She havn't smile and laugh in so long.

Then a maid with her book in her hand came to her. The maid is human and speak in high vampire after bowing lightly. Lillith turn and speak back in light hisses and tones. In those words that is spoken between a lady and her maid, Lillith made her maid promess not to tell anyone who she is with. The maid tell her that the prince is coming by later to meet her. She sigh knowing that she cannot get out of this one. It was nice as it lasted. She turn to her new friends and said, "I have to go. I hope I can to see you again." She gives one last hug to Isaak and a wink at Ian before leaving to the palace at the far side of the park.

Ian bowed and Isaak waved yelling sweet goodbys in his elven tongue, "As do I how to see you again my lady." Ian's voice was smooth and as the very pretty redhead drparted all he could thingk of was the next time he would see her.

Isaak talked on and on to his Ma and Pa of the pretty plae woman with the fire hair, and how she had no magic bue was so sweet. Ian gladly was around and made sure to explain to his sister and brother in law it was a moutain elf with red hair who was reading. Isaak babbled on for days, it warmed Ian's heard to see him take to the woman seeing as he was the future king but he would need to watch his young nephews tounge.

It was almost a week before he saw the woman again and this time something about her seemed down. Isaak was tucked in his bed but Ian was out on a stroll at dusk just to try his luck and there she was. He held back taking off his travel cloak with his family crest off and hung it in a tree, and just in his boots and clothes not looking to suspisiouse he approached clearing his throat.

It took a whole week to get away from her family they are going on and on about her marrying a prince. Lillith hid a small toy horse for Isaak, and she press the flower he had given her. She has the toy horse in her pocket as she walk to park and sit down at the tree where she first meet that little elf. Her red hair is down and her green eyes looks up at full moon. She is wearing a simple gray dress, and she hopes that as lest Ian can find her.

She don't want to marry someone that she don't love or even care about. Then Ian's scent came to her, and clearing of his throat. She turn to him, and he even looks good under the moonlight. "Hello, there. I miss you guys." she said with a small smile. What she have said is true, they have been in her thoughts all week.

He smiled walking slowly, Lillith looked absoulutly stunning in here element. As the sun dipped it mad the secenery red and her hair look like a beautiful frame for her plae soft skin. Holding a hand behind his back his mumbled somethign before a buquet of white roses came to his hand, "I must apologize, Isaak and I waited for you earlier but his parents had a function so the nanny's had him this evening. You'll be happy to know he is learning English. I'm teaching him hello's and Lillith." He extended his hand with the roses and smiled, "But maybe it's better I come alone." He smiled and sat, "It is still a bit early for you, how did you get away?"

"That is alright. That is great to hear, and no time he can talk to me in his happy way." she said while smiling and takes the white roses out of his hand with the lightest of touchs. Ian made her night more bright and a little less sad. "Well that is a good thing. My parents also have a function to go to and they don't need me." she said in a whisper. The white roses are a beautiful gift and thoughtful gift. Lillith always hear the worst of the elfs, but she always know there is a another side of the story.

Her green eyes looks into his blue and she feels her heart growing fond of this elf. Then she look away to put down the roses by her on the grass. "Thank you for the roses. You really made my night." she said with a slight smile. In this moment with Ian she don't have to worry about getting married and letting down her own family.

Ian chuckled, "If you adore roses you should see my families garden. It's so big full of every color of rose imaginable. The blue and red look the best at sunset." He didn't mind making small talk and to see her smile was sweet. Althought he wished his nephew was here to break the aquirdness just a bit. Clearing his throat after his inner debate he decided. "Lillith, I think you are a very sweet person and thought I know we come from different places I would liek to be honest with you. I am the brother of the queen, an Emperial Elf. My older Sister is Queen. I have talke dot her in slight about our kingdoms and she seemed generally intrested...I believe she would just like to see your hair." He mused before returning to point. "I just want to be honest with you is all I am saying. I did not wish to hide my true self." Ian's voice was soft not asking for anything but hoping she would not be disgusted and leave.

"One day I will like to see them." she said with a smile. After what Ian said, she takes a deep breath before she starts to talk. "Thank you for being honest with me. So the little guy is the crown prince. I will like to meet her one day and show her that all vampires are not the same." she said with a smile smile before speaking again. "I also have something to say. I am a noble vampire and I am do to marry the prince in my realm. I don't care about him, all I wanted in my life is to marry for love. I never want you to hid who you are." she said quietly and push her hair back.

She doesn't care about if he is a noble and the brother of the queen of the elfs. To her he is Ian that she happen to meet a week ago. She hopes that he feels the same and she is quietly glad that that secret is out. She hopes that he feels the same about her.

Ian nodded, "I see, well that would explain that upside down smile you wore before I got here. I'd frown to if I had to marry him." He stopped and tried to back peddle, "I mean o offence, Lillith, to your bethroted but I have heard he is hard on his servents and it would not be very good for either side if he took the crown." Ian rubbed the back of his platnium blond head. "I didn't want to trun this political...I am sorry..." He changed the subject. "Isaak says Lilly and likes to pick lillies but he is still new to magic, so if you find red lillies you have him to thank. And yes the future king finds you fasinating." Ian smiled guneuinely at the red head for he could say it wasn't just his baby nephew who found the alabaster vampires intresting. The sun now gone and stars trinkling to life. Ian waved his hand an out poped little lights of all colors danceing and flying about. He smiled, "Light Pixies love the dark, they play better that way."

"No offence taken Ian, and know so well. The rumors about him is true, because I had to meet him that night after meeting you and Isaak. By marrying me they hope that he stop and be good, but I highly dount it." she said quietly. Then she takes the toy horse out of her pocket and smile lightly. "I will and it is good that he is growing in his magic. I glad that he finds me fasinating. I hope that he became a great king, but now I will let him be a child." Lillith said while smiling back at the elf.

Then he waved his hand an little lights dancing in front of her. "They are beautiful. I miss seeing them." she said as put her hand out into the air. The muticolor pixies gently land on her and they are light as air. This wouldn't happen if she didn't meet Isaak last week, and got two new friends out of it. She giggle lightly as their lights play on her skin.

Ian smiled as more pixies came to greet Lillith, he pittied her a bit. His sister marrying and baring a son to a great deal of pressure off him but it was still important to his family he marry and carry on the line and blood and whatever else rubbish he found quite stupid but he could see now it wasn't just an elf problem.

"Have you ever danced on a New Moon, the Moon flowers sing to bring back there moon and it is beautiful."

Ian knew full well only elves and older elves knew of the moon flowers odities. Festivals and dances would be held just for the moon flower to saranaide the elves of ther love for the moon. Ian extended an hand to help the sweet red head. Maybe he could ease her worries with more than just roses.

"But it is not a new moon. It is a full moon. I haven't dance with a moonflowers." she said while taking his hand to get up from sitting. Lillith put the toy horse back in her pocket, and give it to Isaak later when she sees him. The muticolor pixies fly back into the night around them. His hand feels like a warm fire and it makes her feels safe.

This makes up for the worst week of her life. She wonders why that she feels something with this elf then with her own kind.

The elf smiled, "My father told me when I was a boy that the moon is a woman of many faces, and she only truely shows herself to her children the stars." He pointed to the point in the air where there two worlds merged to create this small clearing.

"See she is fill for you but for use, sending the flowers into song. But not just that, on New Moon the tide in the Ocean is low, the Elk migrate and birds sing less, they sleep better on New Moon for some reason."

He shurgged, Ian was in his element and loved to talk about his world. He'd been school by the elders for meany years on customes and traditions of his people. Many he found fun and desired to share them with others but many he found quite dumb and unnessary. Once in a soft even patch or cool grass Ian bent down and slid off his boots and laid his sword down. "We dance bare feet." He grinned hoping she wouldn't be to put off. Lillith unlike the females of his own kind was so sweet. Not knowing or caring about his family or personal politics she wasn't trying to wed, and bed him leabing him drowning in children. She just enjoyed his company. And in turn made him enjoy her even more. Her soft cool skin made him shiver. It was like swimming in Lake Toson on a cool day...he loved it...

She quietly follow him to the clearing and listening to him talk about his world. "My grandmother said that the Goddess always have a path for us, but we don't know it. I do miss her a lot, at times I wish she is still here. I notices that the New Moon they more quiet too." she said with a smile.

Once to the clearing, he said that they dance barefooted. She can only smile and bend down to take of her shoes of silk. The grass feels lovely on her feet. Lillith is glad that she have one friend that didn't care about her family and her title. Ian is not like the males of her kind, he makes her happy and so gentle to her. She quietly thank the Goddess for this gift of a friend in her time of need.

The red haired vampire wish that she can share his world. Knowing that will never happen she have to do with the little moments with this elf with pure blue eyes. His touch makes her skin feels like she in front of a warm fire in a cold night. She love the feeling it gives her.

Ian danced along leading like a gentleman as the flowers sang and sang. The pixies seemed to get the picture and dance around the two lighting the small clearing for the two. what seemed like a ferw moments was well over an hour. As Ian pulled back and bowed ending the dance he came back up smiling.

"Your like a feather on your feet, thank whoever tought you to dance. You are truely a joy to dance with."

He bent down to slide her shoes back on and just grabbed his boots and lead them back to there setting log. The pixies danced about them lighint up the night before Ian reached out to stroke a peice of red hair from his female companion.

"I see the pixies have taken liberties with you my dear." He showed a perfect fish braid on one end with a flower braided deep on the middle and on the other side dasies braided in varises designs. The elf chuckled, "It seems you have a knack with nature. First My nephew, then the pixies. Be careful wood nymphs may carry you off to play a pipe for you." It was a known tale little elves where told as children that wood nymps where a distand cousin of the elf like the pixie and loved to be very crafty, like to change trail signs, or sing a song to have a traveler confused or lost for hours. But it was alson known nymps where only good for a joke or two and would not harm anyone that would not do them harm. That is why elves where the keepers of earth and it's beings.

Ian stared off into the half lif night seeing th emoon on one side but not the other. As a boy he would always wonder where the moon would disapper to when it didn't light his relm. He wa smuch older now and knew it only left to provide good beings like Lillith light. "If I may speak freely Lillith I do not belive you would make a good princess. Not that you ar not noble enough or carry your own but that you are to free. And from princess I would gather you would be queen and that would just kill you." He then turned to her his eyes large and vast but yet so unguarded and open as he looked at her. "He will kill your free sprite. Him and his position, his evil will stamp out all of the fresh love you have to give and share till you are nothing but a shell. And heaven forbid children are in this helish mix..." His face growing heard as he turned away.

"Forgive me Lillith I spoke out of turn and that was quite wrong of me. I took liberities, but...I only speak the truth." His last words where low. Lillith was wonderful and beautiful, and he felt the same freeness in her he felt in his everyday. To even think of that being locked up made him as ill as he was when he was younger and came across a dead unicorn. It was an abomination, free things where ment to be free. Thus how they where born thus how they should die, but he didn't know the situation and for him to talk like he knew was wrong in social or personal standing. But it was an old story as old as earth it's self one was always married off to someone they never loved and never would. His sister had been lucky her husband, the elven king Rio was very stern and hard but his sister had soften his hard edges. And after Isaak the poor man was as soft a fresh wool.

Lillith follow like a lady after Ian while he sing and dance. The pixies flow around as they dance, it seems only a few moments for her, but is really an hour. She also bow when the dance is done.

"Thank you. My grandmother tought me. As you my friend."

She put her little feet out so he can put on her shoes. Once done he with his boots in hand lead her to a log to sit on. She can only smile when he gently storke her red hair.

She lightly laugh at what he said and let him play with her hair. "I care about the world around me the goddess had made for us. My family always said the I am more at home in the wild then in a palace." she said with a soft smile.

She quietly listen to what he said and once he was done talking she starts. "Don't be sorry. The truth is always better then lyes I know that in my heart I shouldn't be a princess because I am so free. If I have to live in the cage of marrige, then I will let my childern be free." she said while looking in his eyes. "There is nothing my spirit cannot do, Then I will live for my childern. Them and their titles will never beat me. If the goddess wills it, I will follow my path with grace." she said with a calm smile and her hands on his face.
