Since you guys are far more talkative and supported then my own real life friends, I hope you will happily dig into my art and actually offer some pointers and stuff because I am 5 seconds away from killing off the people around me.
Today I bring you:
http://edoddandodd.deviantart.com/art/Gladator-Odd-s-Comic-EX1-451893000Made in GIMP 2 with a dash of paint for the Monthly art contest, Gladiator is about Odd trying to find a new beginning as a gladiator and finds the job less then desirable when the Abomination sends her against Edzilla.
...So what do you think?
I don't know how critiques work but don't be afraid to be harsh, I've gotta pretty thick skin. I want to improve and I don't know how to unless someone tells me what I'm doing wrong!
I wish that Tyro guy was still around. He did more video games and stuff but I really, really do want some one to critique my work; both my writing and my art.
I thought deventart would be a good place to get them; my friends are ALWAYS talking about the comments they get. But since I've been there I had just barely short of nothing. Only my closest friend seems to comment, but she's stuck on a phone and can't write much and lives on the other side of town.
I've tried with those same friends (who talk about the comments) at school (most of them are in my Anime club) but they're no help; it's ether a 'it's good' or 'why are you drawing cartoons?'
Seriously. Some of them hate it on the grounds that most of my art is a kind of cartoony style; I just can't and have no desire to draw anime like art. When I ask for drawing tips it's always 'No no; don't draw like that! Draw like anime!'
Of course they give the guy who draws in a 1920s cartoon style a break, and he's a jerk when it comes to art so he's no help.
I'm sorry for being all ramblely and upset but this really is bothering me.
So...anyone care to critique?
